yep, thats how I discovered my problem
When trying to activate SkyUI I receive an error stating «An exception occurred in the script»
Now the only thing different between what I am doing and what the beginner guide recommends is that I am using NMM over MO (simply because I prefer the more hands off approach of being able to simply activate a mod with a click)
6 months ago this mod was not an issue to activate, however between then and Now I re-imaged my machine and reinstalled all of my steam games, finally installing skyrim and the requisite modding tools tonight…
never seen this kind of error before, anybody got any ideas?

skse64_steam_loader.dll
Step 3. Copy the above listed files and paste them to your SSE game folder. The default location should be:

Step 4. Go to Data -> Scripts folder in the SKSE folder (here the Data folder is not the one inside Skyrim special edition).
