Error: «Error Loading Waveform» in Omnisphere 2

The «Error loading waveform» indicates an issue with your Omnisphere library. If you are receiving this error, please follow the steps below:

1.) Make sure Omnisphere shows that «You are up to date √». To ensure that you’re up to date, you can click on «Get Updates» on the splash screen of Omnisphere. To get back to the Splash screen, you can click the Spectrasonics Logo in the upper-right section of Omnisphere.

2.) If you are up to date, confirm that your Wavetables folder is 1.98gb for Mac, and 1.84gb for Windows. If the Wavetables folder is not the correct size, please try reinstalling Omnisphere using a Download Manager from the Reinstall tab in your user account or your USB installer. You can find that folder here:

Macintosh HD / Users / Your Username / Library / Application Support / Spectrasonics / STEAM / Omnisphere / Wavetables

Note: In Mac OS X 10.7 – 10.14, the Library folder in each User folder is hidden. Select the Go menu at the top of your screen while in Finder mode, then hold the ‘option’ key on your keyboard, then select Library. If you are unable to locate your User Library in OS X 10.12, select the Go menu at the top of your screen while using the Finder, then select Go to Folder; enter

/Library – then select Go.

C:/ ProgramData/ Spectrasonics/ STEAM/ Omnisphere/ Wavetables

Note: The ProgramData folder is a hidden folder by default on Windows 10 / 8 / 7 / Vista, so you’ll need to «Show Hidden Files and Folders» in your Control Panel / Folder Options.

3.) Navigate to the STEAM folder using the steps above, and make sure that your Omnisphere folder is the proper size. If the Omnisphere folder is not the correct size, please try reinstalling Omnisphere using a Download Manager from the Reinstall tab in your user account or your USB installer.

4.) If you are using any disk management software such as CCleaner, Revo, Norton, MacKeeper, etc., make sure that your STEAM folder is exempted by those ‘cleaning’ utilities so that they don’t inadvertently remove necessary files from STEAM.

Вот добавлю 2 маленькие капельки дёгтя во впечатления от этого, без сомнения, превосходнейшего инструмента.
1. Отсутствие полноценного маппинга. 1 сэмпл — это всё же мало. Сделайте полноценный маппинг и редактирование его — и по количеству коммерческих сторонних гигабайтный библиотек Омни уверенно догонит Контакт.
2. Звук из ауксов опять не имеет отдельного выхода, всё сливается в кучу вместе с основным. В том же Контакте ауксы идут отдельно.

Будем надеяться, что это когда-нибудь исправят.

Make sure you have the right steam folder selected after installing and updating to recent Omnisphere 2

8hrs later and I’ve solved it. It works for me in the least. Delete every zmap.index file in all soundsource folders. like every single one you see. then relaunch omnisphere. It will take a bit longer than usual to load because it’s rebuilding the mapping index. I’m so happy I found it out and if it helps you drop a ♥

I’ve been struggling with this ever since I bought Omnisphere 2, 4 years ago. I still am. Not a single comment in this comment section could help me out (Thanks for the suggestions). If anyone has more ideas, please let me know. Mine is saying «Error loading waveform» yet some sounds/presets work and some don’t. Especially the guitar sounds. NONE of them work.

Recently upgraded to 2.5 and when I try to load some of the new hardware library patches, there is a «Error loading waveform» error prompt thats displayed. The patches seem to load fine though.

I have read elsewhere that the issue lies with the ~BundleArchives.db files in the STEAM/Omnisphere/Wavetables/ subdirectory. I currently have 2 such files (~BundleArchives.db and ~BundleArchives.db2).

Hi Guys. Please can anybody help me with this same issue, I have never had this before and I am also running all the latest updates, patches etc. For some reason after reinstalling today (RMX was playing up), every time I select a sound on Omnisphere, I get the ‘Error loading waveform’. The sounds play fine, but as you can imagine, it is a pain to have to click OK every time I change sound. Please help :>(

I have the same problem. All up to dat with 2.5.1c and I get error loading waveform on a lot of sounds.

It looks like Omnisphere thinks I have Keyscape, Trillian, etc when in fact I do not have any addons.

How do I remove all Keyscape, trillian, etc sounds so its just the root omnisphere sounds?

Hello there! I have been looking to fix exactly same issue and I reliazed i dont even have the Bundlearchives.db, i only have Bundlearchives.db2

So, would anybody so kind and upload me BundlyArchives.db file?

I have fully updated omnisphere, with trilian and keyscape.

hello i got an issue with omnisphere and the bundlearchives.db is missing from the update i got bundlearchives.db2 only
can someone help me and give the file to me ?
if someone can do that i can use omnisphere right away

the file .db what you send me doesnt work its says error loading waveform again
im windows maybe that helps and i got this too like if im going to the diagnostics

i see this :

I have Omnisphere 2 on Mac. I am fully updated, tried re-install, deleting Zmaps, refreshed browsers, confirmed my core Llibrary is proper 53 GB.

Some sounds get Error Loading Waveform and will not play.

Example sound Glasswell 1 fails see attached images.

Going back and forth with them is so time consuming. Was hoping someone here has already gone through and solved this issue.

How many times have you gone back and forth with them? They seem pretty responsive to me.
Anyway, I seem to have more sounds than you do. When I do the same search, Glasswells 1 isn’t the first patch:

So strange. I mean I just installed with all 8 DVDs. Not sure what else I can do. Did you ever have the Error Loading Waveform issue?

oh I missed that you just said you have Omnisphere 2. The fully updated comment threw me off. I have 2.6 so maybe that has extra glass wells. You’re not 2.6?

I had some weird error come up with «not a waveform» or something, but it was with a 3rd party library, not a stock one. The glass wells are all stock though.

Yeh which makes it that much stranger they wont play since they are original sounds. hmmmm. At a loss.

Why not upgrade to 2.6 for free?

I had issues with a few patches after installing from the boxed USB drive, so I emailed support, got a download link, and downloaded the entire library. Works fine now. No more corrupt samples.

If you contact the support and explain the situation, they will give you a download link if they think that is the case. Every link is unique. Asking another owner for that link won’t help. Their support is quick and extremely helpfull. This is really your best chance to get this sorted.

Random request. Until I can sort this out can someone bounce me out the audio from my midi file with a specific patch in Omni I am missing? In dire need of it for a song.

Quite frankly I find the whole thing fishy. Very fishy.
You started an account on the day you started this topic and this is the only topic you have posted on.

You say support is time consuming yet 2 weeks later it seems you haven’t gone that route, since at no time have you indicated what support has said to you.

And two weeks later support still hasn’t sorted it out for you?

I am very suspicious.

That would probably be not legal.. since the licensing exists to keep people who haven’t purchased a license from having access to the sounds. You, purportedly, have paid $500 for a working copy of Omnisphere – are you really going to allow Spectrasonics to get away with selling you a copy where you can’t use all the sounds.

Omnisphere “Error loading waveform”

Please make sure your Omnisphere installation is up to date. You can check if there are any updates from the start-up screen of Omnisphere or you can click the Spectrasonics logo on the interface of Omnisphere. Make sure everything is up to date, in particular the Soundsources.

If everything is up-to-date try to delete the zmap.index file found below. It’s harmless to remove:

PC: ProgramData/Spectrasonics/STEAM/Omnisphere/Soundsources/User

Mac: Macintosh HD/Users/yourname/Library/Application Support/Spectrasonics/STEAM/Omnisphere/Soundsources

Restart your DAW and insert Omnisphere 2 again and it will automatically create a new zmap.index file.

Error loading waveform

Getting this error when loading some of the Omnisphere 2 patches. So far, only getting this in the new version of Omnisphere with FL12.
Is there something to fix this?

@basЫl, нашёл, как это отключить в ФЛ Правда, не знаю, отразится ли это на рендеринге, пока не проверял.

Товарищи! Поставил на днях Windows 10 с форматированием диска C:. Как я могу теперь установить Omnisphere 2 минуя установку библиотеки (она была установлена на другой диск и, как следствие, сохранилась)?

Установи dll туда где плагины. или разпакуй установщик например тем же Universal Extractor .Только скопируй куда нибудь на раб. стол там и достань Dll
Я больше не стал устанавливать 10…Гиблое дело.

Я б не советовал устонавливать сторонние аддоны патчи пресеты и пр от любителей. Помимо того что они засоряют все и вся, так ещё и громкость каждого инструмента разная, я уж не говорю что они изменяют саму основу семпла

Не совсем понятно, что имеется в виду.
Конкретно этот пак, основан на собственных, авторских семплах и их создатель — весьма себе уважаемый дядя, который знает Омнисферу, как никто другой.

Плюс, он сформировал два дополнительных бандла, об одном из которых попросил его я) В итоге, экономия получается весьма ощутимой)

Доброго времени суток! Будьте так любезны в помоще решения проблемы с данным сообщением «ERROR loading waveform» Omnisphere 2. Выскакивает при выборе звуков из списка, в некоторых библиотеках и довольно часто.
А еще временами не сохраняются пресеты Omni, в Cubase 7. Вернее как-бы файл пресета создается, но с весом 10кб который оказывается не рабочим. Буду признателен за любые подсказки!

@Хитчер, проверь хард, где лежит библиотека Omni.

@soundpro, Ранее библиотека лежала на отдельном харде, тоже подумал об этом, переместил в дефолт по адресу C:ProgramDataSpectrasonicsSteam всю трилогию вместе со Stylus и Trillian, так вот последние два работают коректо как и раньше, а с Omnisphere возникают те же проблемы. Причем звуки Omni все воспроизводятся, только частенько выскакивает это сообщение и пока кнопочку ок не нажмешь оно не отстанет)

Возможно переместил уже с битыми файлами.

@soundpro, все может быть… но до перемещения было такое же сообщение. Попробовать переустановить библы не меняя дефолт путь?

Подскажите по какому пути ставить сторонние библиотеки. Обновил Омни на версии 2.0.3… В 1 версии омни я копировал библиотеки по такому пути-C:ProgramDataSpectrasonicsSTEAMOmnisphereSoundsourcesFactoryCore Library. Все работало.
А в Омни 2 так же добавляю в этот же путь. Но почему то Омни 2 не видит их … В свойствах общей папки СТИМ снял галку-только для чтения. А все равно не видит. В Омни 1 когда переносил библиотеки то они появлялись в этом списке как на скрине.

А в Омни 2 их не видно.. Может как то по другому надо добавлять, чтобы все видел?

Да конечно от Админа.. Все еще пытаюсь что то сделать чтобы омни видела эти библиотеки. Но пока что ни как.

в SoundsourcesUser копируются db семплы, а пресеты prt_omn в папку ..Settings LibraryPatches

Долго мучился с этими библиотеками. Пока не вьехал чего куда копировать.. к некоторым библиотекм прилагался блокнот. И там был написан путь куда вес это копировать, ну и другие путь тоже…. Немного по ковырявшись с этим. Все получилось, все работает

У меня есть Nexus 2 про Омнисферу стоит думать или это примерно то же самое?

Стоит. Это принципиально разные вещи. Нексус — ромплер, а Омнисфера — синт.

Но как я знаю в Омнисфере тоже много звуков на базе сэмплов.

Омнисфера тоже ромплер, причём качество и количество семплов такое, что Нексус тихонько покуривает в сторонке (уж извините). Плюс синтезатор с очень продвинутыми возможностями.

Не знаю кто как, но я без Омнисферы уже никуда, абсолютный мастхэв имхо.

Интересно а скидки у спектрасониксов вообще бывают ? Странно чтото неприпомню.

@Wham_48, купите на барахолке (kvr, например). они разрешают передачу лицензии, правда только один раз. а контент скачаете с сайта спектрасоников за 10 долларов.

Говорят, что Омнисфера 2 тормозит даже на самых мощных компах, это правда? комп у меня чуть выше, чем рекомендуемые требования (3.2 GHz 6 ядерный, 8 оперативы, звуковая карта внешняя m-audio firewire) и на некоторых пресетах индикатор CPU (DAW) доходит до 80- 100% и начинается треск, прерывания звука небольшие. Скажите пожалуйста, если возьму проц мощнее, например 4.0 GHz 8 ядерный, как думаете все пресеты будет тянуть или дело может не в процессоре, может оперативы мало или настройки какие-то нужно изменить??

Omnisphere “Error loading waveform”

Please make sure your Omnisphere installation is up to date. You can check if there are any updates from the start-up screen of Omnisphere or you can click the Spectrasonics logo on the interface of Omnisphere. Make sure everything is up to date, in particular the Soundsources.

If everything is up-to-date try to delete the zmap.index file found below. It’s harmless to remove:

PC: ProgramData/Spectrasonics/STEAM/Omnisphere/Soundsources/User

Mac: ​Macintosh HD/Users/yourname/Library/Application Support/Spectrasonics/STEAM/Omnisphere/Soundsources

Restart your DAW and insert Omnisphere 2 again and it will automatically create a new zmap.index file.
