A1.1 Warning Messages
Flashing WAIT Light
This is the first-stage low battery power warning: you may
still use the instrument, but batteries should be changed or
recharged as soon as possible when this first appears.
Four Bars on the Display
This is the second-stage low power warning: use is inhibited
until the batteries have been replaced or recharged.
Low Memory Countdown
When the remaining memory is within a preset number of
tests of being full, the remaining test number capacity is
shown on switch-on, plus three, long-and-short beeps.
A1.2 The E X Error Messages
The following messages will be shown on the digital display in the
event of a component or system failure. If any of these messages
appears, the instrument is automatically inhibited from further use.
Communications error when PC connected.

Loss of fuel cell calibration data from memory.

The breath alcohol level, as measured, was too high for
E2
analysis [probably mouth alcohol].
The fuel cell sensitivity is too low for calibration.

The breath flow sensor output is too low for calibration.

Automatic Switch Off If the SD-400 is left switched on but not used, after a pre-set time it will switch itself off automatically. Before doing so it emits a series of high-pitched beeps. Every time a breath test is carried out, a four-digit sequential number is printed automatically on the test record. This number is set to 0000 before dispatch of the instrument from Lion, and can then only be reset by Lion or a local Lion distributor. -

Therefore, to ensure continued optimum instrument operation, it is necessary to CHECK its accuracy at regular intervals, and to carry out an appropriate ADJUSTMENT when necessary.

First, ensure this has not been used at all in the last hour. Now put it into its Calibration Check Mode. This ensures the SD-400 is in its correct temperature range; sets up the digital display for use in this function; and stores the check readings in a separate memory to that used for subject tests. -

Доказательством состояния опьянения в настоящее время служат показания прибора вкупе с клиническим обследованием и правильным заполнением всех требуемых документов. В работе применяются средства измерения количественного содержания паров алкоголя в выдыхаемом воздухе. К примеру у нас в Перми, наравне с другими, используется прибор Lion Alcometer SD-400.
Описание прибора
SD-400P — базовая модель SD-400, сочетающая функции скриннингового тестера и точного измерительного прибора в комплекте с принтером.
Особенности анализатора Lion Alcolmeter SD-400:
- высокоизбирательный электрохимический датчик;
- высокая специфичность и чувствительность по отношению к алкоголю;
- нечувствительность к другим возможным примесям в выдыхаемом воздухе;
- высокая точность измерений в области малых концентраций алкоголя;
- полностью автоматизированное тестирование;
- возможность работы в режимах скриннинга, точного измерения и комбинированного режима скриннинг-измерение;
- проходит поверку, межповерочный интервал — один год;
- результаты измерений, полученные с помощью Lion Alcolmeter SD-400P, являются доказательными.
SD-400P может поставляться с программным обеспечением для PC IBM.
Анализатор прошёл клинические испытания в Институте наркологии Минздравмедпрома РФ, зарегистрирован(регистрационное удостоверение Росздравнадзора ФС

/2976) и разрешён к применению на территории РФ.

Удобство использования алкометра Lion Alcolmeter SD-400P обеспечивается его функциональными особенностями:
- результат и текстовые сообщения предъявляются на графическом жидкокристаллическом дисплее;
- автоматический контроль длительности выдоха, если алкометр не получает необходимый объем пробы воздуха, отбор пробы прекращается, раздается звуковой сигнал;
- предусмотрен отбор пробы воздуха в двух режимах: в активном и, в случае неспособности обследуемого лица обеспечить необходимый объем пробы воздуха, в пассивном (ручном) режиме;
- внутренняя память на 500 тестов с возможностью расширения;
- возможность подключения к компьютеру и ввода результатов в компьютерную базу данных из памяти прибора;
- возможность вывода результатов на принтер;
В распечатываемом протоколе отображаются следующие данные:
- наименование анализатора;
- наименование организации на английском языке (если введены дополнительные настройки в сервисном центре);
- заводской номер анализатора;
- регистрационный номер анализатора (если он введен в программу);
- дата и время последней корректировки показаний анализатора;
- дата и время последней поверки;
- результаты теста дыхания (дата, время, номер теста, массовая концентрация этанола в выдохе у обследуемого в мг/литр, объем выдоха в литрах, длительность выдоха в секундах);
- имя обследуемого (вписывается от руки);
- имя инспектора (вписывается от руки);
- место обследования (вписывается от руки);
- подпись обследуемого (вписывается от руки);
- подпись инспектора (вписывается от руки).

Процесс определения содержания алкоголя в выдыхаемом воздухе, для тех кто не знает (и слава богу!), выглядит таким образом: необходимо сделать глубокий вдох и затем начать выдыхать в мундштук, присоединяемый к прибору (одноразовый). Особенность в том, что дуть надо с определённой силой и длительностью. Как только происходит фиксация результата — прибор издаёт звуковой сигнал и можно прекращать выдыхать.
Наверняка найдуться те, кто попытается воспользоваться данным поводом для того, чтобы попытаться «ускользнуть» от результата экспертизы, ссылаясь на физическую невозможность сделать длительный выдох.
Под этим может скрываться разного родя симуляция:
1. дышать тяжело, кашель замучал!
2. грудь ударил, больно сделать выдох
3. лёгкое удалено и так далее…
Следует запомнить одну важную особенность: двукратная неудачная попытка продуть в прибор будет расцениваться как ОТКАЗ от ОСВИДЕТЕЛЬСТВОВАНИЯ. При этом медицинские причины неспособности не учитываются.
Так что, если уж придётся дышать — дышите! Чистым и свободным от алкоголя воздухом.
