Topic: Error when Playing Tracks (Read 6199 times)
Hi. After upgrading to 3.0 today, I’m getting this error when trying to play tracks, either by double-clicking or right-clicking and selecting «Play Now»:

can you post a screenshot and PM me a link to your settings file (help/ support/ view settings)
I don’t know how to post a screenshot in this forum. I’ve PMed the settings file, and will try to PM the screenshot.
One thing that I have noticed, though: while my Library is, and always has been, in F:Music (and that’s where the files still are, as would be shown in the screenshot), MusicBee3 is listing it in the Library settings as being in G:Music . I didn’t touch that setting, so I would guess that the software did it itself. But I’ll hold off on changing it back until I hear a response, in case there’s some information that you might need for diagnosing the problem that fixing it at my end would change.
Installing imgur uploader didn’t work. The «Send to Imgur» item doesn’t appear in the File Explorer context menu. *sigh*

Hm, that is a pity, many here use that tool, and I can’t remember somebody earlier having an issue with it.
Could it be some AV program is blocking it?
There should also be another method somewhere in the Tips and Tricks board, but I just can’t find it right now.
edit,
I was probably looking with closed eyes, it’s the second topic on that same board:

i have tried using your settings and cannot reproduce any issues. Infact its a very strange error.
I will make a change to suppress the error. One thing that would be useful is if you send me this file:
NowPlaying.mbp
which is in the root MusicMusicBee folder
OK, I’ve DMed you the file.
It’s great to be getting this kind of support.
thanks
nothing unusual so the issue is a real mystery to me. I will post a version a bit later that supresses the error
|OK, thanks. The big mystery to me is that going to version 3 appears to have arbitrarily changed the Library setting from F:Music to G:Music .
I just changed that in the settings, thinking that might fix the problem, but I still get the error, even after exiting and restarting musicbee3. Perhaps suppressing the error message will help.
OK, thanks. The big mystery to me is that going to version 3 appears to have arbitrarily changed the Library setting from F:Music to G:Music .
I assume you are refering to the Library preferences panel
— can you send me StartupSettings.ini and MusicBeeSettings.ini
those are both in the same AppData folder as the MusicBee3Settings.ini file you sent.
and lastly:
— MusicBeeLibrarySettings.ini which is in the root Music/MusicBee folder
there is nothing at all that i can see that would have mae MB change the path.
I will leave this unsolved
