If so: try: Type menu > Create outlines in Illustrator and see if that helps.

Are you getting this error when you double click on the Composition to open it? Or are you trying to do something with an imported Illustrator file? If so, what?

Yes it is an imported illustrator file, this error appear when I click on the 3D layer (3D mood) so I can’t do any 3D animation because of this error

1. Check what 3D render you are using in AE — I suggest Cinema 4D
2. Try converting your Illustrator file into a shape layer:
Layer menu > Create > Create Shapes from Vector Layer

I’m beginning to think this might just be a corruprted font on your system — and is nothing to do with the scene specifically. Do you get the same error if you create a new project and enable 3D? Otherwise I’m sorry but I really don’t know what is going on.

I deleted all the font on my pc and still this error is appearing!!

All I can suggest at this stage is that you do an After Effects preferences reset:
Quit AE. Hold down Ctrl (Cmd on Mac) Option, Shift immediately after launching AE.
You’ll get a dialog asking if you want to reset your preferences. Click OK.

I had this exact problem. Use fontreg to repair font registry files and you should be good to go. I believe this is a windows only fix but there may be a similar fix for macs

Have you gone to FontBook and verified your fonts?
If you read the article through you’ll find you can easily re-install your fonts, rather than the entire OS.

They do give you quite a few clues on the page you linked to. Breaking down the possible causes paragraph:
Similar to error 3 :: 160, this problem may be caused by a mismatch of your system language settings and the language in which the program is run.
Open the System Preferences and click on the International icon. If it’s not highlighted, click on the Languages tab. Click on the Edit List… button and uncheck everything but English and U.S. English. Click OK. In the left column, only the two English choices will now be displayed. If necessary, drag and drop English so it is above U.S. English. Close the System Preferences and restart, or log out and log back in for the language changes to take effect.
Additionally, there may be problems with user privileges and file permissions that prevent After Effects from accessing the directories required therefore. These include the system font directory as well as the Adobe font directory shared by all Adobe applications.
Launch Disk Utility. Highlight your startup drive and click Repair Permissions.
For Mac OS X (Snow Leopard) in combination with CS5 products, this may be caused by the Verdana font from Microsoft missing because Apple no longer install it by default on this version.
Check to see if a version of Verdana is in the /Library/Fonts/ folder. If not, there are various ways to get it. Microsoft Office for Mac will install Verdana. If you have Leopard, you can extract it from the installation disk with
Pacifist
. Or, purchase and download it from Microsoft’s web site. In all cases, make sure to get the full set, which includes:
Verdana Bold Italic.ttf
Verdana Bold.ttf
Verdana Italic.ttf
Verdana.ttf

30.01.2014, 07:56 установил Адоб мастер коллекшн 6 , все программы нормально установились и работают, только с АЕ проблема: при запуске выскакивает сообщение: After Effects warning: The font dictionary can’t be read. Please restart your computer. Что-то связано со шрифтами, непонятно что делать? Может каких-то шрифтов в системе не хватает? |

Удалить все экземпляры файлов базы данных шрифтов Adobe (AdobeFnt.lst, AdobeFnt10.lst, AdobeFnt11.lst, AdobeFnt12.lst, AdobeFnt13.lst, и так далее

Hey guys, is there a way to disable the «Unable to connect to Adobe. Missing fonts cannot be resolved at this time» message when importing compositions/templates? I am not always connected to the internet and this is popup is kind of annoying when working with a lot of templates/comps.

Ease. Goto Edit>Prefrences>Type and uncheck resolve fonts dialog

You have to download missing fonts or let adobe solve it with adobe fonts.

Yes I get that, but I was wondering if there is a way to deactivate this pop up message?

Ignore the message change the template and save it,its not that important i always ignore it and move on

There is no way to disable the message. Either get the needed font or use an existing font, thereby changing the missing to what you do actually have on your system.

I can’t open any version of After effects anymore on my machine. I have version 17.0.5, 16.1.3 and 13.1.4 installed. They worked fine yesterday, today i get and error while the startup screen loads:
After effects warning: Can’t write to font cache directory
After effects error: string memory leak (83 :: 2)
After effects can’t continue: unexpected failure during application startup
All my other programs (Premiere, Illustrator etc.) work fine, and I have not changed anything to my setup. The only thing I changed yesterday is upgrading to the newest Illustrator version. Going back to the older version did not change anything.
I’ve tried reinstalling, rebooting and checking for any corrupt fonts.
I’m running Windows 10.
After Effects is my main tool and i can’t do any work without it. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I was able to correct this by using the start tab and chosing Run as administrator and it worked.

Thanks for your help. I have tried to change the permissions but this did not solve my problem.
I have found a simple solution, for some reason I have to run all my After Effects versions as ‘administrator’.
Browse to your after effects folder.
C:Program FilesAdobeAdobe After Effects CC 2019Support Files
Right click on AfterFx.exe, choose ‘Run as administrator’.
I don’t understand why this has suddenly changed, or why this is specific only for After Effects. But it works.

I’m having the same issue. I’ve been very vocal about this on other threads. This is a huge problem and Adobe is doign NOTHING to solve it. I’m going to lose a client over this issue in already hard times. Adobe needs to figure out what the hell their last update did to after effects and the premire bridge.

There was an automatic adobe after effects update two nights ago is the
only thing I’ve traced it back too.

I am not sure if Windows update can cause this. Would you mind letting us know if your user account is managed by your organization or you are working on your home computer?

I am working from my studio computer, so the account is managed by myself.
Running the program as administrator solved it for me, but I have no clue how this error could have happened after a simple reboot. I am always running the same (and only) account on this machine.
If there is anything I can do to help solve the issue for other users, let me know.

I’m also having the same problem and none of the solution presented here have worked for me.
I’ve tried completely uninstalling AE and then deleting all AE sub folders but AE still gives the same error message

Those solution don’t work. In fact, I just got off the phone with Adobe Support and after remotely accessing my machine I was told the only solution was a complete uninstall of ALL my Adobe products followed by a complete reinstall. I declined that option because I was also told NONE of my presets could be saved and I plan to replace this computer soon anyway. It’s clear that the actual problem is the latest Adobe updates have massively corrupted the Windows registry. What’s even more upsetting than the lost time is Adobe’s engineers cannot offer a better solution that burning everything down and starting over

Решение 2
Удалите все экземпляры баз данных шрифта Adobe (AdobeFnt.lst, AdobeFnt10.lst, AdobeFnt11.lst, AdobeFnt12.lst, AdobeFnt13.lst и т. д.).
В системе Mac OS файлы AdobeFnt.lst могут находиться в нескольких местоположениях, в том числе в следующих папках:
- /Library/Application Support/Adobe/TypeSupport/CS5/CMAPS
- /Library/Application Support/Adobe/PDFL/9.9/Fonts
В системе Windows файлы AdobeFnt.lst могут находиться в нескольких местоположениях, в том числе в следующих папках:
- C:Program FilesCommon FilesAdobeTypeSupportCS5
- C:Program FilesCommon FilesAdobePDFL9.9Fonts
- C:Program FilesCommon FilesAdobePDFL9.9CMAPS
Чтобы найти другие экземпляры этих файлов, выполните поиск элемента AdobeFnt на жестком диске.
Это решение полезно, если база данных кэша шрифта на диске была повреждена. Путем удаления файлов кэша базы данных шрифтов и перезагрузки системы, на компьютере выполняется воссоздание базы данных шрифтов с диска.
Решение 3
Если в результате воссоздания базы данных шрифтов проблема не устранена, ее причиной может быть недопустимый или поврежденный шрифт. Самые распространенные примеры недопустимых или поврежденных шрифтов — это бесплатные растровые шрифты, загружаемые из Интернета (например, Zebra).
Можно найти и устранить поврежденные шрифты вручную, удаляя их по одному и затем выполняя описанные выше шаги решения. С помощью сторонних утилит (например, Font Doctor) можно определить недопустимые или поврежденные шрифты.
После удаления недопустимого или поврежденного шрифта выполните Решение 2, чтобы воссоздать базу данных кэша шрифта.

Всем привет. Такая проблема. Сохранил проект в Illustrator, весит 1.5 gb. Импортировал в AE, кинут композицию со слоями на таймлайн. И не видно мои иллюстрации. Рамки слоев видно, но сами иллюстрации не отображаются. В чем дело, что я делаю не так?
Подскажите , как бороться с такой ошибкой?

Egor, я установила все шрифты, которые были в том или ином футаже, всё равно есть эта ошибка
Egor, во многих скачанных мной футажах(с торрентов), присутствуют папки со шрифтами, которые после разархивирования я установила. Все шрифты установлены на компьютере, но как я понимаю, необходимо сделать их копию через облако, чтобы Typekit их распознавал. Соглашение о замене просто включает бесконечную прогрузку и закрытие проекта:(
Здравствуйте, не первый раз сталкиваюсь с проблемой и никак не могу решить ее. Частенько, при импорте футажей в АЕ (СС2019), первый футаж загружается правильно, а остальные загружаюсь со своим именем, но при этом в нем лежит тот же первый футаж и никакие танцы с бубном не помогают. При это если кликать показать файл в папке, то он показывает правильный, если делать релоэд или реплейс на нужный, то толку нет.
Здравствуйте, оставил на ночь комп включенным.. Утром открываю AE, а там Failed to initilize mediacore.
Афтер ничего не импортирует и не экспортирует, у кого такое было?
