Сверьте настройки безопасности в IIS:

для виртуального сервера (веб узел по умолчанию) должен быть включен анонимный доступ и встроенная проверка подлинности;
для всех виртуальных директорий, кроме WSUSAdmin — только анонимный доступ;
для WSUSAdmin — только встроенная проверка подлинности;
для Selfupdate — анонимный доступ и встроенная проверка подлинности (никто не знает почему, хотя по логике нужен только анонимный доступ).

Ошибка на стороне сервера WSUS. На клиентских компьютерах в WindowsUpdate.log сопровождается следующими сообщениями:
