2. Install Windows updates and patches
- Press the Windows key + I.
- Go to Update and Security.
- In the Windows Updates tab, download and install pending Windows updates and other patches.
- Reboot the computer and check if you can install the package without the error.

3. Remove Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable through Command Prompt

- Once the repair is complete, reboot the computer and try to install Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable.

- Click Uninstall and click Yes to confirm.
- In the Setup window, click on Uninstall again and follow on-screen instructions.
- Once you have uninstalled the package, reboot your computer.
- After the restart, download and install Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable.
- If successfully installed, download and install the latest version of Visual Studio 2017 Redistributable package.
If you already have the Visual Studio 2017 Redistributable installed, it may block the installation of Visual Studio C++ 2015 distributable as it is backward compatible.
As a workaround, uninstall the 2017 Redistributable package and then reinstall again after installing the 2015 Redistributable package.
This is a workaround, but it might work if you’re getting an error while installing Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable.
5. Remove the temp files
- Press the Windows key + R to open the Run box.
- Type %temp% and click on OK. This will open the Temp folder in File Explorer.
- In the temp folder, select all the files and delete them.
- Once the folder is empty, run the installer and check if the Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable installation goes through.
6. Re-register the Windows Installer service
- Press the Windows key + R.
- Type the following in the Run box and hit enter. This command will not show anything.
msiexec /unregister - Next, type the following the Run box and click OK to execute.
msiexec /regserver - Again the command will now show anything but register Windows Installer service.
Once you have successfully re-registered the Windows installer service, you should be able to install the Visual Studio C++ Redistributable package without any errors.

Если в диспетчере устройств в разделе «Видеоадаптеры» вы видите что-то наподобие «Базовый видеоадаптер Майкрософт», это означает, что драйверы для него не установлены.
- Скачайте и установите драйверы для интегрированного видео. Лучше всего для рассматриваемой ситуации — с сайта производителя ноутбука под вашу модель (драйвер может называться «VGA», «Intel HD Graphics» или как-то иначе, обычно определить его сравнительно не сложно) или сайта производителя материнской платы компьютера.
- Вручную скачайте и установите драйверы вашей дискретной видеокарты с официальных сайтов AMD или NVIDIA.

I’ve been trying for the past 3 hours to get these two to install. (x64 & x86) I haven’t gotten it to work, it’s starting to get annoying. It’s trying to tell me that I already have it install, I’ve followed the directions and have deleted both of

I keep getting the following error everytime I try to start the game:

I have tried everything I can find online to fix this error. I have updated Windows including all optional updates. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling MS VC++ several times. I have uninstalled TSW and reinstalled it. I even went as far as uninstalling steam and reinstalling it outside of the Program files folder straight to the hard drive. Is anyone else having this problem?

I have done that also. They installed with TSW so I uninstalled, restarted, installed from microsoft, restarted, still the get the runtime error. And to add to this puzzle I now get another error before that one: » The program can’t start because api-ms-win-crt-string-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer.» Reading the reviews this may be more headache than this game is worth.
