it shows that the NoiseCancelingEngine always uses my microphone and i cant find where to disable it, can someone maybe try to help explain how to remove it? thanks

level 1

Me again

Here is the solution:

— Control panel

-Administration tools

-Task planner

-Task planner library

-ASUS

-NoisecancelingEnfine.exe on the right: disable

level 2

That was quite annoying. Thank you for sharing the solution!

level 2

Unfortunately, I don’t have «Task Planner» in my «Administrative tools». the only thing I have is «Task Scheduler» which doesn’t show the same stuff. Would you happen to know another way to open «Task planner» through maybe CMD? I tried looking it up but couldn’t find anything. Thanks!

Edit: Turns out its in «Task Scheduler», my bad. Thanks again!

level 2

Ahhh thank you very much!!!
Worked for me like a charm. 🙂

level 1

I have the same problem that just appeared

level 1

Just got a Logitech webcam and same thing happened to me. The .exe immediately started using the webcam mic non stop. I’m glad u/Feufollet_darkskies found a solution, but why does this even happen in the first place?

level 1

Update 2022, windows 11:

Task scheduler / ASUS / NoisecancelingEngine.exe on the right: disable.

Did it cause it showed up as an error in the event viewer.

Hello, ever since last night I was having this prompt pop-up. This started right after I updated something’s with the ArmouryCrate application that came pre-installed on my motherboard. Also whenever this prompt pops-up my GPU RGB just turns off suddenly. I also ran a sfc /scannow, but nothing shows up. The actual pop-up is called NoiseCancelingEngine.exe — Application Error. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Specs:
Mobo: ASUS ROG STRIX Gaming-F (WIFI)
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
GPU: MSI RTX 2060 Super
Memory: G.Skill Trident 32 GB

Thanks in advance.
