dpkg: error processing initramfs-tools (—configure)

galats,
apt-get install -f
dpkg --configure -a

galats
apt-get install -f
dpkg —configure -a

galats,

galats
chemtech
galats,

galats

AnrDaemon

apt-get install update
потом
apt-get install -f

i A — initramfs-tools / 0.99ubuntu13.1 / 0.99ubuntu13.1
Описание: tools for generating an initramfs
This package contains tools to create and boot an initramfs for packaged 2.6 Linux kernel. The initramfs is a gzipped cpio archive. At boot time, the kernel unpacks that archive into RAM, mounts and uses it as initial root file system. The mounting of the real root file system occurs in early user space. klibc provides utilities to setup root. Having the root on MD, LVM2, LUKS or NFS is also supported. Any boot loader with initrd support is able to load an initramfs archive.

I tried installing unoconv but couldn’t get it to work, so I wanted to completely uninstall it. Now I’m getting an error about initramfs-tools.
Accoring to the Debian bugtracker, this «cannot stat ‘/etc/modprobe.d/*’» error was fixed two years ago, so I don’t know what to do. Just a wild guess, but uninstalling initramfs-tools isn’t the way to go.

Dear All,
Apologies if I have chosen the wrong section to post this query, as you can see, I am very new to Linux environment and the Linux Mint forums. I finally made the jump to Linux Mint from Windows 10 about 3 weeks back and I regret not having done it earlier. All was good and I was learning with usage till last night when I got a prompt from ‘Update Centre’ and upgraded some components including the Kernel. The Broadcom wireless drivers stopped working this morning(first boot after upgrade) and I tried everything to fix it but to no avail.

Any help in resolving the issue will be highly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time out to go through the issue I posted.
P.S: Tried dpkg —configure -a —force-depends as well, not fixing the issue.

I can’t get the upgrade to finish, it ends:
Setting up initramfs-tools (0.140) …
update-initramfs: deferring update (trigger activated)
Processing triggers for initramfs-tools (0.140) …
update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-5.13.19-6-pve

This is not a proxmox image installation, it is a package installation running on a linode VM.
Can anyone help me? I have two other nodes but do not want to proceed until this is working.
Thanks
Bruce
OK additional information: My other two nodes both updated without error. The node that will not finish the upgrade command, we installed PMG from packages and so it is not exactly the same as the two on-site nodes, see below:
Installed from Proxmox image:
master node : Kernel Version Linux 5.15.53-1-pve #1 SMP PVE 5.15.53-1 (Fri, 26 Aug 2022 16:53:52 +0200)
slave node 1 : Kernel Version Linux 5.15.53-1-pve #1 SMP PVE 5.15.53-1 (Fri, 26 Aug 2022 16:53:52 +0200)
Installed from Packages:
Kernel Version Linux 5.13.19-6-pve #1 SMP PVE 5.13.19-15 (Tue, 29 Mar 2022 15:59:50 +0200)
The PVE 5.13.19-15 Version is installed on a Linode VM out on the internet, but I don’t think that is the problem. The problems seems to be proxmox-boot-tool: not found or run-parts: /etc/initramfs/post-update.d//proxmox-boot-sync exited with return code 127. The nodes are all upgraded now, and they are all showing synched and running. I am afraid that this version will not be able to upgrade further until I get this failure corrected. I don’t really know where to look.
Thanks
Bruce

Hi,
the pve-kernel-helper package contains the proxmox-boot-tool binary. Please ensure that it is installed correctly. It is a dependency of the proxmox-mailgateway package. You might want to install that to make sure all dependencies for Proxmox Mail Gateway are pulled in automatically.

Problem resolved. Installed pve-kernel-helper and upgrade completed cleanly. Many thanks.

sudo -s
apt-get update && apt-get upgrade && apt-get dist-upgrade

Вот эта строчка /etc/initramfs/post-update.d//zz-flash-touch-initrd — это файлик /etc/initramfs/post-update.d/zz-flash-touch-initrd
sudo apt-get install -f
