Купи у провайдера внейшний (выделенный, белый) Ip адрес. Звонишь в тех.поддержку, представляешься, говоришь «хочу внешний ip», тебе зарядят 200р в абонентскую плату и сможешь хостить.

Мой провайдер даже не представляет что это. (NAT router)
А с белым IP пока подожду.)

Написано же, пробрось порт udp 16000 до своего компа.

Как? Я вообще не шарю в настройках роутера.

в общем, тебе нужен внешний ip, чтоб быть хостом. типа адрес, по которому к тебе будут коннектиться, как к хосту. лезешь в лк от своего провадера или звонишь, подключаешь (за доп.плату).

Баги в программах, повлиявшие на реальный мир — очень благодатная тема для историй. Из самого интересного, о чём я читал:

1. Собственно упомянутый аппарат лучевой терапии Therac-25, в котором люди хотя и не сгорали, но действительно получали радиационные ожоги и умирали от лучевой болезни. Весь софт был написан одним человеком на редком диалекте ассемблера без единого комментария, и никогда никем не проверялся.

2. Из-за «ошибки 2000 года» в одной клинике произошёл сбой, и перепутались результаты анализов на риск синдрома Дауна у плода. В результате родилось несколько детей с этим синдромом, а несколько здоровых были, наоборот, ошибочно абортированы.

3. Спутник Mars Climate Orbiter разбился из-за несогласованного ТЗ на ПО, где часть величин были в метрической системе мер, а часть в имперской. 200 млн $.

4. Аппарат Deep Impact по исследованию комет почил раньше срока и перестал выходить на связь, потому что переполнился таймер времени (2^32 десятых частей секунды).

5. Ракета Arian 5 эпично взорвалась при первом запуске из-за некачественного повторого использования кода от Arian 4. Цимес ещё в том, что ракете очень доверяли и она должна была стать (и в итоге стала) жемчужиной европейской космонавтики. Поэтому там была очень дорогая и ценная полезная нагрузка в виде научных спутников. Итоговые материальные потери — 300–500 млн $, но временная потеря репутации, наверное, стоила ещё больше.

Game Hosting Problems

In the majority of cases, port forwarding is no longer needed. Read about the Network Changes if you haven’t already.

If you have a broadband internet connection (and in some cases, dialup modems) chances are your Mac is behind a router. The main purpose of a router is to share your internet connection across multiple computers. Unfortunately, this often causes problems for hosting internet games (both with GameRanger and without).

Most Internet Service Providers (ISP’s) supply a single internet address for you to use. This is your external or public IP address. The router uses this address, but the router allows your Macs to have one or more local or private IP addresses. These local or private IP addresses can only be seen from your network and are usually of the form 192.168.x.x or 10.0.x.x. This process is known as Network Address Translation (NAT) or IP Masquerading. The router also has its own local/private IP address in addition to the external/public IP address. See your router’s instruction manual or contact your ISP for a detailed explanation.

When you host a game in GameRanger, other joining players need to be able to connect to your Mac, but when the incoming connection request reaches your router, your router does not know which Mac it should forward the request to, so instead it just ignores the request. This is what is happening when other players are unable to join your hosted games.

The solution is to configure your router to do port forwarding/port mapping. This tells the router to forward requests from certain games directly to your Mac’s local/private IP address. Game connection requests are identified by port numbers that distinguish them from other internet data such as email or web. The catch is that this configuration is a little different for each type of router, and the port numbers for each game are usually different. To make matters even more tricky, there are two different types of port number, TCP and UDP, but depending on your router, you may not need to know this.

Refer to your router’s instruction manual for details (and contacting your ISP may also help), but most routers use web browser based configuration. To do this, enter your router’s local/private IP address into your web browser. Most router addresses are either 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1, but you can find your router’s address under Network in System Preferences.

If you’re using an AirPort Base Station as a router, you can configure it with the AirPort Admin Utility in the Applications folder.

No response from server gameranger server что делать windows 10

Okay, I’ll just cut to the chase:

I’ve successfully downloaded GameRanger onto my laptop, however, whenever I try to download it to my desktop, it works until a certain time [every time] when it says:

Download Not Complete:

The download cannot be completed.

Once I hit «OK» it brings up another window which says:

No Response from GameRanger Server:

There was no response after contacting the GameRanger server.

Click the Connect button to try again.

PLease make sure your Internet connection is working. You may need to check with your ISP or network administrator to make sure your Proxy Settings are correct.

If you still don’t have any luck, there may be temporary network problems somewhere on the Internet and you may have to try again a little later.

I have tried this like four different days; it never works.

Any advice/thoughts, hopefully from someone who has had and overcome this problem before?

Ladies and Gentlemen, wear sunscreen. If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be IT. The long term benefits of sunscreen have been proved by scientists, whereas the rest of my advice has no basis more reliable than my own meandering experience.

When I downloaded Game Ranger I did «save» instead of «open». Then I installed it from the folder where I saved it. I also put the program on a jump stick and shared it with our friend that has dial up. And where I saved the program is in a shared file, so Slim can access and install it from his PC if he wants.

Can you jump stick a copy of the program to your other PC?

. so the only advice I can offer is to check your network cables, and makes sure that your connection isn’t flickering (maybe you’re on wireless?).

Okay, I think I have wireless (Is that bad??). I checked them all; plugged them back in tightly, and will try again shortly.

However, is it a wireless problem reservedly? Because my laptop is not hooked up to my modem either.

I’ve experienced similar errors, but not when downloading GR.

Same here; if I loose internet connection. I think I’ll bring my laptop over into the living room and see if I can connect to GameRanger on it and then I’ll know whether it’s the internet or this computer.

Hmmm, good idea, I never really thought of that. I’ll try that if this doesn’t work.

EDIT: Doesn’t matter; the problem is with the Internet. Maybe if I take down my firewall for a minute, I will be able to get the necessary update.

Thank you both for your suggestions. I hope I can get GameRanger on this computer so my brother can play GameRanger without having to use my laptop.

By all this; I guess I need to find out how to get the GameRanger servers to respond or fix the Proxies. whatever they are.

Lol. I found out how to get it to work; just had to be on the administrator account.

Anyways, thank you both very much for your help; now I can access GameRanger on both of my computers. and my brother may get an account (he’s pretty bad though ).
