This guide shows you what to do if you suffer from either error code or can’t link your Nintendo Account in Fire Emblem Heroes.
Fire Emblem Heroes just released yesterday, and although most people can download and enjoy it just fine, some people have been affected by crashes and errors. There have also been some issues with linking Nintendo Accounts with Fire Emblem Heroes. This guide will tell you why you’re getting error code 803-0003 or 803-3001 and why you’re having problems linking your Nintendo Account to Fire Emblem Heroes.
How to Fix Fire Emblem Heroes Support Code 803-3001
This error is affecting both iOS and Android devices. Fire Emblem Heroes Support Code: 803-3001 pops up on the main screen of the game and won’t let you start the game. This code appears because the Fire Emblem Heroes servers are overloaded and cannot begin the download of the additional data needed to start the game.
Fixing code 803-3001 in Fire Emblem Heroes is both easy and frustrating. To fix it, you just have to wait and try to start the game again later. Fire Emblem Heroes just launched, so there’s a huge amount of people trying to download and try the game for the first time. As time goes on, fewer people will be downloading the game data, and you’ll be able to play.
There is also speculation that code 803-3001 on Android devices may be caused by Fire Emblem Fates blocking rooted devices. This hasn’t been confirmed, but if you’re using a rooted Android device, try starting the game on another non-rooted device and see if that’s the culprit.
How to Fix Fire Emblem Heroes Error Code 803-0003
Fire Emblem Heroes Code 803-0003 presents itself with the message, «A communications error has occurred. Support Code: 803-0003.» With this code, the game will let you past the title screen, but when it begins to download the additional data needed to play the game, you’ll receive this error.
Like the error above, code 803-0003 can simply mean that the Fire Emblem Heroes servers are overloaded. Your best bet to fix this issue is just to wait and try again later. Code 803-0003 could also occur if you don’t have a stable connection to the internet, so you may want to try moving closer to your Wi-Fi Router and trying to start the game again.
What to Do When You Cannot Link Nintendo Account in Fire Emblem Heroes
Some people can download Fire Emblem Heroes just fine, but when they go to link their Nintendo Accounts they get timeouts and error messages. The solution to this issue is the same as the two errors above. The Nintendo Account servers have been flooded with people making new accounts and linking current accounts to Fire Emblem Heroes. You’ll simply have to wait and try to link your account again later.
We hope this guide helped you to understand some of the errors occurring with Fire Emblem Heroes. Take a look at our Fire Emblem Heroes guide hub for more info on Nintendo’s new mobile title.
Fire Emblem Heroes has finally dropped, and it’s sure to dominate the mobile gaming landscape.
However, as is the case with most large-scale, always-online mobile games these days, it’s not without its problems.
A number of issues are hurting the game’s playability, so we’re put together a guide to help people get through some of Fire Emblem Heroes‘ most common issues.
This guide will take you through all of the common issues found to compromise your ability to play Fire Emblem Heroes on your smartphone.
We will update this guide frequently, so if you come across any other issues, please feel free to post in the comments section below, and hopefully the Fenix Bazaar community can help you out!
Fire Emblem Heroes iOS and Android system requirements
Fire Emblem Heroes is supported on the following devices
iOS
- iOS 8.0 or higher on iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad
- Recommended 1 GB of RAM or more
Android
Android 4.2 or higher is required
Device with 2 GB of RAM or more is highly recommended
Error – A communications error has occurred. Support Code: 803-0003
This error is caused by overloaded servers. It is advised not to keep reloading the game, as this will just feed into the issue. The issue is related to the number of people downloading the game at once, which is overloading the servers.
Your best course of action would be to simply keep retrying every 10 minutes or so, rather than continuously reload the game every few seconds. Once the servers calm down and stress is released, you should be able to get on.
Error – Cannot link Nintendo Account
A number of Fire Emblem Heroes players appear to be facing this issue.
At the moment, there’s no known cause, but we can assume that it’s probably caused by server strain.
However, some players are being redirected to “https://null/connect/1.0.0/authorize/” in their browser, which suggests an authentication issue.
Try clearly your smartphone’s browser cache, history and cookies, and try again. If that doesn’t work, try rebooting the game, and then attempt to connect your My Nintendo account using a different connection, be it over Wi-Fi or a mobile network.
Error – Support Code: 803-3001
Some players are facing this error code and simply can’t get beyond the Fire Emblem Heroes main screen.
There is no known wide fix for this, although some players report having deleted and then redownloaded the game fixed the problem.
BEWARE: If you’ve played the game and earned Orbs but haven’t connected your My Nintendo account, deleting the game will lose your Orbs. Your Orb count is connected to your My Nintendo account, so make sure it’s connected to your game before you delete the game.
Can’t purchase Orbs
This may be caused by an issue with your payment system, or the number of Orbs you have. There is a maximum of 999 Orbs per account.
Didn’t receive My Nintendo Points
Firstly, make sure your My Nintendo account is actually linked to Fire Emblem Heroes. Then, ensure you met all of the requirements of the mission or quest in order for the My Nintendo points to be rewarded. Sometimes there are time or damage requirements, which may go unnoticed on your initial play-through.
Didn’t receive Orbs after purchase
This can be fixed any number of ways. Firstly, try restarting your app. If this did not work, wait a few hours, as it may take time for the server to recognise your transactions. Do not uninstall the game while you are waiting for Orbs to appear. If they don’t appear, ensure your payment method was correct, and that the payment actually went through.
The game is simply not working
Try deleting the game and reinstalling it, but not before clearing your system cache. Ensure that if you have progressed at all in the game, that your My Nintendo account is liked to the game profile so that you don’t lose progress or Orbs.

What is Error 803-3001?
When your phone doesn’t pass Google’s SafetyNet, it corrupts an .xml file that is associated with your phone (your device id, I’d say) for that specific «save» of Heroes in your phone. The result is a bootloop of the game with the connection error 803-3001.
This was initially thought of as a root ban, but it seems it is affecting other users (a good number, not rooted) as well.
All it checks for is modification of the stock image. And as some manufacturers have non-standard setups, users get «banned» as well without ever modifying system files.
How do I get past it?
If you get the error code and bootloop, it depends if you are rooted or not.
If rooted:
Delete this file using some sort of root explorer: data/data/com.nintendo.zaba/shared_prefs/deviceAccount:.xml
I use ES File Explorer.
It should go without saying, be careful when browsing around with root. Root users SHOULD be aware that you can do some real damage with those privileges.
If not rooted:
You have to delete all game data. That means you have to redownload *ALL* your images, character data, movies, and sound files. The big download when you started the game. Be sure to be on wifi.
Does my save get deleted if I’m not rooted!?
Well… yes and no.
Yes, that it gets wiped from your phone.
No in the sense that you *WILL* be able to continue with your save file and won’t have to start over.
…If you linked your save to your Nintendo Account.
If you have a save on your Nintendo Account, just relink your phone and it will download the save from the server and you will continue as normal.
Any other info?
From my own personal experience… it seems that I (as a rooted Android user) don’t get banned that often anymore. I get kicked with the error, it seems, every 4-6 hours.
Can you be kicked mid-game?
*YES*
You won’t find out until after you finish a map, though.
This means that if you started an Arena Battle (like the video below), you will forfeit the win and one of your 3 daily arena points.

Вылет Fire Emblem Heroes во время события Grand Conquests
