I am trying to update Fedora using sudo dnf update. It lists the packages to be updated, downloads them, but then fails with this message:

I tried googling but I am at a loss here (I am not an expert). I noticed no other issue or problem with the system so I don’t know where this new problem comes from.

I tried to do sudo dnf clean all and then sudo dnf update, but this didn’t help. I post the full output below.

Как обновить Fedora, если Error running transaction: package X is already installed
Наконец-то руки дошли обновить федору до версии 33. Только вот нельзя просто так взять её и обновить — ГУИшный установщик ПО найдёт, где выпендриться.
Ошибка значит в переводе, что не удаётся провести транзакцию (грубо говоря, установку), из-за того, что такой-то пакет уже установлен. О ужас! Почему это считается вообще ошибкой — философский вопрос, а чинить как-то надо.
Запускаем командную строку. Выполняем команды (только прочитайте сначала текст ниже):
sudo dnf upgrade --refresh -y
sudo dnf update dnf-plugin-system-upgrade -y
sudo dnf system-upgrade download --releasever=33 --allowerasing -y -bПервая команда обновляет все пакеты в системе. Вторая обновляет плагин для обновления самой системы. (На самом деле, плагин и так обновится первой командой. Это скорее для проверки существования самого пакета. Если команда валится и пишет, что такого пакета нет, выполните sudo dnf install dnf-plugin-system-upgrade.) Третья скачивает все пакеты, которые нужны для самого обновления.
--releasever=33 надо отредактировать, подставив свою желаемую версию Fedora. Я обновлялся до 33й, поэтому пишу 33.
--allowerasing говорит DNF, что можно удалять пакеты, если из-за этого не удаётся обновить другие. Обычно это не доставляет проблем, но если что-то пойдёт позднее не так в новой версии федоры, то понадобится переустановить пакеты, на которые идут жалобы.
После этого нужно заварить чаёк, похрумать печеньки, дождаться-таки загрузки всех пакетов, а потом ребутнуться:
sudo dnf system-upgrade rebootСистема перезагрузится, долго обновляя систему. Та-дааа! 🎉 Разве что у меня система непонятно чего делала в первый раз, и по-настоящему она обновилась с 32 до 33 со второго раза. (Я хз, что это было.)

I don’t see anything suspicious in journalctl. I already tried cleaning dnf with:
rm /var/lib/rpm/__db.*
cd /var/cache/dnf
rm -rf *
dnf clean all
The same happens when I try to install a new package via dnf install.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

After waiting for several hours dnf still was stuck on Running transaction. However after pressing Ctrl+C numerous times it continued. After it was done installing and verifying it was stuck again. Ctrl+C to the rescue it exited normally and all the updated packaged were installed… I still don’t know what happened and also don’t see any error in the logs. Hopefully it will work as expected the next time.

I got the same problem so I just changed the priority of the dnf process to -10 from another shell, and the issue was solved.
renice -n -10 -p <pid>
Probably, dnf tries to do so many processing and since it runs with default priority, it takes so much time.

In my case, I got that problem after I upgraded the whole platform (Fedora 25) to Rawhide (future Fedora 26). After the upgrade was done, I tried to install cmake, but a reboot was needed to finish up all the RPM database synchronization. After a reboot, everything worked like a charm as expected.

Error Summary
-------------
After a short search on the internet I found that several people could resolve similar issues by uninstalling, updating, and reinstalling the conflicting packages. So, I wanted to try that, with
$ sudo dnf remove json-glib
However, the log ( http://pastebin.com/5q5JsHVy ; pastebin due to reddit’s character limit) lists over 500 packages, with a total of 2.3 GB. Also, it seems to me that it would install many many quite important packages (such as firefox, gnome-terminal, gnome-session*, and more).
I also tried cleaning dnf’s cache and just trying to update json-glib (and/or lcms2), without success. Is there another way to solve this? (A way that does not involve un & re-installing almost my entire system).

Решение
Удалите пакеты, которые существуют и вызывают конфликты. Приведенный выше конфликт выводитсяMySQL-server-5.5.56-1.el7.x86_64。

Затем установите сноваphp-mysql, Сделано успешно!

Одновременно для Fedora 30 введены в строй «free» и «nonfree» репозитории проекта RPM Fusion, в которых доступны пакеты с дополнительными мультимедиа приложениями (MPlayer, VLC, Xine), видео/аудио кодеками, поддержкой DVD, проприетарными драйверами AMD и NVIDIA, игровыми программами, эмуляторами.
Дополнение: Выпуск RFRemix 30 (Russian Fedora Remix) сформирован не будет, пользователям рекомендовано отключить репозитории Russian Fedora командой «sudo dnf remove ‘russianfedora*'» для избежания конфликтов при обновлении до Fedora 30. Сообщается, что большая часть актуальных пакетов из Russian Fedora перемещены в штатные репозитории Fedora, а также в репозиторий RPM Fusion.

Уважаемые пользователи репозиториев Russian Fedora, а также RFRemix!
Сообщаем вам, что по не зависящим от нас причинам проект Russian Fedora временно уходит в отпуск на один выпуск Fedora. Таким образом, релиза RFRemix 30 не состоится.
В настоящее время большая часть актуальных пакетов из Russian Fedora были перемещены в апстрим Fedora, а также в RPM Fusion, поэтому рекомендуем вам как можно скорее отключить репозитории Russian Fedora до выполнения обновления до Fedora 30, чтобы оно прошло в штатном режиме без конфликтов между пакетами.
Сейчас необходимо сделать следующее:
1. произвести замену пакета rfremix-release на fedora-release (только пользователям RFRemix):

все разобрался сделал сначала yum remove rpmfusion*release*
потом yum update
все обновил, я правильно сделал?
