    День добрый.
А просто раздать интернет с телефона, как точки доступа Wi-Fi, не пробовали?

  • Acquire semaphore gives error Code = 0

I have incorporated a semaphore into our software.  The semaphore protection works fine for a little while then gives a mysterious error code = 0.  From that point on, no semaphore operations will work correctly.  Has anyone ever seen this error?  Any clue what it might mean.  There is no message included with the error.
During Debugging I incorporated a mechanism to destroy that semaphore and get a new one.  I found that I can create a new semaphore but when the new semaphore is used, the reference is invalid.  I am using unique named semaphores.  I’m thinking that once the error occurs, the semaphore core is somehow corrupted.
This is occurring in built code running on windows server 2003.
    Jim West
    Summitek Instruments

I’m not following the reasoning that there is a race condition. It seems to me that if the semaphore works as advertised… meaning that the «Test and Set» action is correct.  There can never be a race condition of the kind that multiple processes lock the same semaphore.
In my webserver, there are two pieces to the puzzle.  The server that creates/destroys the semaphore and the processes that acquire/release the semaphore.
The main server, which is always running, creates a named semaphore.  Places that reference in a global.  Let’s called it REF.  On shutdown, the semaphore is destroyed.
When running, a user requests a web page which then spawns off another handler process using a VI template (VIT).  Within this vi instance, the REF is used to Acquire the semaphore, do the protected action, and release the semaphore.  This will happen hundreds of times with no error.  Then, at some point an acquire is called and the acquire semaphore times out.  You can be sure that I have instrumented the code in such a way to tell me if a release failed or some other error.
One possibility is that the VIT instance spontaneously exits after the semaphore is acquired.  I don’t believe that this is happening but there would not be any way to ‘log’ that behaviour.
It is possible that multiple VITs will attempt to acquire the semaphore using REF.  But that is why I am using the semaphore, to stack up the acquires in a methodology similar to stacking on non-reentrant vis.

  • Cannot delete file from external hard drive (error code 36) in Finder, but Terminal is ok

I have a relatively new Macbook Pro Retina 15″ and have a Western Digital 1 TB Passport.  I’ve been using the passport for about a year now without any problems on older Macbooks in my house.  I used to be able to read and write to this drive no problem.  I am using the Paragon NTFS for Mac software in order to read and write to the NTFS drive.  When I navigate through the drive in Finder, if I try to create a new folder, I do not have a problem.  If I try to delete that folder I just created, I get this error:
The Finder can’t complete the operation because some data in “untitled folder” can’t be read or written.
    (Error code -36)
The folder has nothing in it whatsoever.  I just created it.  But if I go to Terminal and I run
    rm -rf «untitled folder»
This works fine.  Why is Terminal acting different than Finder?  This does not happen on my other Macbooks.  Thanks in advance.

Thanx for such qucik reply!!! The pages were great, it had an answer for my problem, but unfortunately it also involved me dealing with it only on the MacIntosh HD itself, not on mounted external drive I suppose… So it didn’t work they say that there is an icon in the left corner indicating locked folder — I don’t see any icon on it. It says you can untick the box to unlock the folder — there is no tick to be unticked. Finally, they say that if I don’t have permition or rights I cannot delete it. But how do i change permittion which already says that i can read and write in it? So everything appears to be normal only I cannot delete it. there is not even any warnig telling me I don’t have enough rights, it just requires the password and after me typing it in it makes the sound of scraping paper but does nothing more. I aslo had some problems with emptying Trash after being seemingly succesful with one file and had got so far to have them appear in the Trash (no clue how this one actully got there though..) I followd the advice and emptied the Trash with Terminal. The Folder is still there but it shows 0 Kb… So far so good BUT: It is still on the external drive, so I obviously only managed to copy it into the Trash!!! Phew, innit a bit too tight to poor owners, this macbook?? I want my rights back!

    * Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
    * Don’t remove personal data when uninstalling.
    * It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.

i know the issue,i can give quick fix, but in-order to make sure you don’t get another glitch like this.
I would recommend, you to install the scheduler in another schema or another db.
Re-installing the scheduler schema tables will fix this.

While activating a request in DSO getting error code 10
    Hi All,
I am trying to load data into Billing: Condition Data (0SD_O06) using 2LIS_13_VDKON. First while loading data I am getting error
Record 8778 :InfoObject SOLD_TO does not contain alpa-conforming value 100000 which I changed manually in PSA maintenence and tried to load data again and now I am getting an error (Error 10 in the update) ID:RSAR No119.
I have checked the formula in Transformation and it works fine. Still I am not able to load data.
    Please help.
    Thanks and regards

Check the log for the request from the manage screen of the DSO, it will be there next to the monitor button.
Otherwise you can check the error from the monitor screen of the request in Details tab.

  • Some data in … could not be read or written. (Error code -36).

    Hello.
I just got a Lacie 512mb disk, and thought it would be ideal for running my iTunes library off of. Got the disk, ran it through its paces, hooked it up to my Mac mini, and I can’t seem to copy hardly any files over. Here’s one error (but you can replace «iTunes Library» with any song and it’s the same thing)…
‘The Finder cannot complete the operation because some data in «iTunes Library» could not be read or written. (Error code -36).’
So, I think there’s disk or file damage, etc. I boot off an external and run Disk Utility, DiskWarrior and TechToolPro against it — everything checks out fine.
But I can’t copy files from the mini’s internal to my external Repair Boot disk or the Lacie 512. Always that same -36.
So, at first I think it’s the mini, then I think it’s the Lacie, because it’s new, so I reformat it: same issue. And that coupled with it won’t copy to my Repair Boot, makes me think the mini again.
But, I’ve got a g1 iPod mini hooked up (formatted in hfsj+), and I can copy this file to the iPod mini, but no where else. I not sure what this makes me think.
And, I can duplicate the file on the Mac mini. In fact, if it’s a song file that won’t copy (none of them will), I can play it just fine.
    Thanks.
Mac mini   Mac OS X (10.4.3)

I experienced a problem in a familiar way.
After a recording session I tried to copy the complete folder with session and sound files to another disk (original and target disk both LaCie d2 250 FW800).
Somehow the proces stopped prompting an -36 error over some files.
When I look up these files in the Finder, it seems to have an iTunes audio-file icon instead of a ProTools audio-file icon (and so other standard app to open with). All the other files will copy fine. The files will play with quicktime in the preview window.
    Any-one a solution?
Almost seems like some kind of copy protection, like implied earlier in this thread. I hope it’s not. These are the originals…

  • «the finder cannot complete the operation because some data in [name of iMovie file] could not be read or written (Error Code 26)

    Hi all,
I have an iMovie project in iMovie HD 6.0.3. (Mac OS 10.5.8)
It plays, but I cannot copy the file (including saving it to a flash drive). I get either a message
«the finder cannot complete the operation because some data in [name of
iMovie file] could not be read or written (Error Code 26)» or the
message «A project file is missing. The file [name of the QuickTime
movie inside the project.dv] couldn’t be opened and is being skipped.»
This happened suddenly, I was able to save a backup version numerous
times while working on the project.
I followed some of Karl Petersen’s advise on apple discussions. I opened
the package contents, and everything seems to be there. The source file
(original QuickTime movie) is there and can be opened and played. I
replaced the current project file with the backup in the package
contents, but that did not change anything. I was able to export the
movie timeline into a new project as a single clip, but would like to be
able to copy the current project.
    Thanks for any ideas..

Make sure all drives are formatted as «Mac OS Extended». (Journalling preferred, but not necessary).

Why could this be happening?

long story short, bintray servers changed some things and vhbb hasn’t been updated to work with it yet.

if you want to download something use the browser to download it from vitadb.rinnegatamante.it until that gets fixed.

i’m sorry, it was still working the other day so i assumed browser downloads are unaffected, but now i can’t download anything through the vitas browser either. getting a different error though.

——————— MERGED —————————

Well it can’t be helped, rinnegatamante owns vitadb so i’m sure he’s aware of this and will fix it sooner or later if he can.
